Connie Zhao Director of international student service center
Connie earned herBA from Beijing Wuzi University majoring in Economics and achieved the MA in Accounting and Finance from Macquarie University in Sydney Australia. Before Connie moved to the U.S., she had been working as the manager and senior education consultant for more than five years in Beijing EIC China. After moving to Pittsburgh PA, Connie worked as the director of Pittsburgh office of Prepare Education Group to help international students to adjust themselves to the new places. Being a two kid’s mom and living in the U.S. for seven years, Connie is always passionate to work with students and help them accomplish their academic goal.
To that end, I would like to use NIESL as a platform to create an international education group that focuses on servicing students. In that capacity, I will develop a team that will stringently select the American High Schools and host families which will participate, and closely monitor the implementation of the service system. We will encourage and welcome Chinese students to study in American high schools, and I hope that in the future top-tier College is the next stop for those students. Lastly, it is my sincere hope to initiate and expand cooperation with partners in China and ultimately facilitate the development of international pre-college education between the U.S. and China.
